Emark looks forward to work with Van Diepen and expects under his supervision a professional streamlining of the growth potential of the organization.
Erik van Diepen started his career as an accountant at Albert Heijn. He was promoted to coordinator and was in this function responsible for various financial reports. After five years Van Diepen began a new challenge as finance manager with DigitasLBI, formerly Lost Boys. Soon he was part of the management. In his years at DigitasLBI Van Diepen has optimized financial and operational processes and experienced many transitions and reorganizations. In 2013 LBI was acquired by Publicis. Van Diepen then put his focus primarily on the integration of Digitas.
“I was looking for a financial position in a company with great ambitions within the marketing and technology sector. Emark brings a unique combination of data, technology and marketing together. The company has experienced tremendous growth and has the ambition to grow further, both nationally and internationally. ”
Van Diepen will focus the coming years on optimising processes in order to enable further growth. At the beginning of this year Emark counted 20 employees; now that number has grown to over 50 employees. For the CFO it will be a major challenge to sustain this growth and transition. Van Diepen: ,, I believe that finance should be in the middle of the organisation instead of an department that is just looking after the accounts. It is very important to make the connection with commerce and operation. I think I’ve found the right balance in Emark between financial control and business control.”
